The problem I will be trying to solve is related to dog and cat owners. These owners want to be able to monitor their pet or keep an eye on their pet when they can't physically be home to see them. The best option they have available to them now is using a baby monitor or some type of video surveillance camera. The biggest problem or challenge with using one of these devices is that they are set up in one location or room in the house. If the pet is not in the same room as the device, you can't see or hear the pet.
My solution or way to fix this problem is with the use of a Smart Collar. The Smart Collar will have a small video chip or camera eye in it along with a mini two-way microphone and GPS chip. It will be able to be activated with an app used by any smartphone. The Smart Collar will be available for both dogs and cats and will be no bulkier or heavier than a collar they already wear. The biggest advantage for the pet owners is that they will have the ability to see exactly where the pet is at all times. Wherever the dog or cat goes the collar also goes. The owner will be able to monitor the pet in any location or room in the house thus avoiding the one room only situation.
